Temp agencies have been around for generations, long before outsourcing to the Philippines was even a distant thought.  The question then is this, why not, when seasonal demands call for it, use a temp instead of going through a Philippines based BPO?  That’s precisely what we’ll discuss in this article, so let’s dive in.

Associated Costs

When a business hits a point where they must have additional employees to satisfy demands, many companies have looked toward hiring a temp through an agency.  Nothing wrong with the concept, but do keep in mind there are costs, training, administrative charges and the fact that this person(s) may or may not be trained in the specialty needed.  If you only need one person for one week, it’s easy enough to absorb the costs, but what if you needed 10, 20, or more?  Should that situation occur, costs can escalate quickly.

Training

When a new employee, either temporary or full-time is brought into the mix, a certain amount of time and training is required to bring them up to speed.  While these costs can be justified with a full-time employee, it doesn’t always make good sense with a temp. Why?  Simply put, when the work demand eases, the temp will likely be let go, or choose to leave, in essence meaning the costs of training are lost.  While it’s true if the same temp were to be brought back the following season, they’d already be schooled, however in many cases that person will not be available and the training time and costs must be incurred again.

FACT: When hiring a Filipino virtual staff, they will be delivered ready to work and fully trained in their respective specialties, i.e., customer service.

Continuity

When you choose a reputable BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) agency, you’re dealing with professionals who understand the need to provide a fully functional team on short notice.   And, should one of those workers become unavailable for any reason, there is another fully trained worker ready to step in and fill the breech without loss of time or productivity.

This allows a business to take full advantage of skilled talent when seasonal demands require while being able to scale back quickly and without penalties or fees.

FACT: Should demands require staff to operate on a three-shift basis (effectively 24/7) this can be accommodated. Quickly scaling up or down without undue difficulties is one of the significant benefits of using a BPO.

The Bottom Line

Any business must keep an eye on the bottom line, maximizing ROI and innovating to stay ahead of the competition.  Outsourcing to the Philippines gives you the ability to accomplish this without worries about:

  • Skilled Talent
  • Run Away Costs
  • Costly Infrastructure
  • Payroll Taxes
  • Health Insurance
  • Floor Space
  • Lost Training Time

Our success is directly related to your success.  That is one of the many reasons we strive to deliver.  We’re not the biggest BPO, but we work hard to be one of the best.
