The Boutique Outsourcing Method – How We Do It

This is our “About Us” page, and rather than recite banter about why and how we were formed, I thought it might be more interesting to take a closer look into why we call ourselves a boutique company. Google defines it this way:

Number 2 is a pretty close match but needs a little tweak. We can’t be everything to everyone, so we specialize. We strive to offer competitive prices, without set-up fees. Whether you need only one staffer or a dozen or more, we’re here to serve your needs. With offices in both the Philippines and Nashville TN, we understand and train our workers to operate with a western approach.

We’re veterans in the BPO industry, hiring our first VA in 2009. That team expanded to 12 members who concentrated on SEO, content marketing and customer service via live chat.

Since 2009, we’ve grown, learned and adapted. We’ve tried India, Russia and other BPO areas, but we’ve always returned to the Philippines. I believe the answer is a simple one, it’s the fact that the Filipino people care. They strive to go the extra mile, working tirelessly to get the job done, on time and budget.

FACT: I was asked to become Godfather to the daughter of my first VA which I happily accepted.

StaffOutsource has and continues to evolve to serve the marketplace. We recognize the value that the Philippines BPO industry brings to the world and particularly to small business. We desire to create an environment of nurturing, both for the Filipinos we employ, and for the businesses they staff. There are no questions too difficult to answer, no problems we can’t (with a little bit of diligence) overcome.

Our reputation is extremely important to us, in fact it is the cornerstone of our business and ethics. We strive always to go the distance and never to leave a client in a difficult situation. The years and experience we’ve gained since 2009 have brought us to this point, we’ve learned from some of the bigger BPOs, taken the good points, discarded the bad and formed a boutique BPO company we feel offers the best of the best. The best professional staffers, the best pricing, the most comfortable setup without fees and no long-term obligation. You can cancel anytime with 30 days notice and we will part as friends. However, we’ll do everything we can to ensure a relationship that lasts well into the future.

Managing Client Expectations and Integration

How many seats/staffers do you actually need? Do you want to start with one or a hundred? Many prospective clients have grand ideas for their operation, but our counsel is to start small, test the waters and grow as needed with a standardized approach. We will never seek to simply fill seats, that’s not in your or our best interest.

Building a Solid Foundation

As mentioned, we hope to build a long-term relationship and that isn’t accomplished by simply filling seats and burning through a clients budget. Instead, we suggest a standardized operating model and a low growth strategy. This allows your operation to both grow and learn simultaneously.

Flexibility and Adaptability

It is rare that two different companies will operate in the same fashion. Some will want a total hands-off solution, while others will seek interaction with their team on a daily or weekly basis. Either case is fine and we are easily adaptable to suit your needs, whatever they may be. Our permanent staff, as well as additional professionals we hire are among the best and brightest in the Philippines. We believe in surrounding ourselves with the best people, then giving them the ability to flourish. Our goal is to erase any cultural issues and only focus o the bottom line, your bottom line.

Slow and Steady

We don’t oversell, that is one of our business tenants. We believe in slow and steady growth and always advise our clients of this. Our desire is to offer solutions, not problems and to accomplish that we can be as involved as needed to help a client choose the right number of seats to meet their goals.

Structured vs. Freelance

In today’s high-speed internet world, many businesses have delved into hiring a freelancer and having them work remotely. Hiring freelancers is a bit different than what we offer. Certainly it’s less expensive in the short-term, but in the long term we offer a team environment, a sound structure, professional staff and the willingness to do what’s necessary to help you meet your business goals. We’re not the type of company whose only focus is increasing the numbers on our balance sheet, rather increasing the number of testimonials our clients are happy to give.

In-House BPO

Our experience has taught us a great deal, but there is one light that shines through. Having an in-house BPO is much more efficient than hiring a variety of freelancers. We’ve found that productivity, and efficiency are increased, as well as a team environment boosts morale and a happy staff is a productive staff. Beyond that our teams are fully managed and receive on-going training. What does this accomplish? A streamlined operation that helps our clients reach and often exceed their goals.

Outsourcing Value

Outsourcing, plain and simple allows businesses to flourish. They can keep their costs low while focusing on core marketing endeavors. They are freed from the burden of many day-to-day tasks allowing new ideas, plans and projects to grow to fruition.

We also strive to instill these same values into the professionals we hire, letting them know that while there are bigger BPOs, there aren’t in (in our opinion) any better place to plan for your future while working in your chosen specialization.
